Stop Guessing. Start Matching.

Shelf colors are a gamble. The LBX system is engineered to hit any Pantone target with precision — every time, on any fabric, with any screen printing setup.

🎯

Pantone Accuracy by Weight

Every LBX formula is gram-weight based — not percentage estimates, not eyeballed scoops. Weigh your components on a digital scale and you hit the same Pantone match every time, whether you're mixing 4 oz for a sample or a gallon for production.

🧮

Free Formulator Does the Math

Go to formulator.screenprintsupplies.com, enter any Pantone number, and the free LBX Formulator outputs exact gram amounts for each base. No color theory required. No test batches wasted getting close. Just the formula — instantly.

📦

15 Bases Replace Hundreds of Shelf Colors

Instead of stocking dozens of pre-mixed spot colors that can go out of stock mid-job, you stock 15 bases and mix on demand. Less inventory. No shortages. Every Pantone covered — including fluorescent and neon targets.

🔄

Repeatable Across Every Reorder

Because formulas are weight-based, your second batch matches your first. Your tenth reorder matches your first run. Clients get consistent brand colors across years of jobs — which is what keeps them coming back.

🧵

One System for Every Fabric

All 15 LBX bases cure at 280°F — the same temp, every color. Safe for cotton, polyester, tri-blends, and performance fabrics. No separate ink system for athletic wear. No dryer adjustments mid-run. One temp, every job.

💡

Fluorescents Fully Integrated

Five UV-reactive fluorescent bases are part of the same system — same cure temp, same mixing method, same formulator. Hit fluorescent Pantone targets for hi-vis safety apparel, neon athletic wear, and UV event apparel the same way you mix any other color.

01

Enter Your Pantone

Go to formulator.screenprintsupplies.com and enter your target Pantone number. The tool returns exact gram-weight amounts for each LBX base needed.

02

Weigh Your Inks

Use a digital gram scale accurate to 0.1g. Weigh each LBX component into a clean container. Accuracy here is what produces a consistent Pantone match.

03

Mix Thoroughly

Combine and mix until fully homogeneous — no streaks. A paddle mixer on a drill is ideal for larger batches. Mix more than you need to avoid variation mid-job.

04

Print and Cure at 280°F

Print normally. Cure at 280°F internal ink temp — verify with a donut probe. Stretch test and wash test before shipping customer orders.

All 15 LBX Plastisol Mixing Bases

Every base is fully inter-mixable with every other. Standard bases for Pantone color matching. Fluorescent bases for neon and UV-reactive targets. All low-cure at 280°F.

Safe on Every Modern Fabric.

The garment mix in screen printing has shifted. Polyester blends, tri-blends, and performance fabrics are everywhere — and standard 320°F plastisols aren't safe on them. Every LBX base is formulated to cure at 280°F, making the entire system usable on every fabric your customers wear.

  • Safe for 100% polyester without scorching or fiber damage
  • Reduced dye migration risk on poly-blend dark garments
  • Compatible with moisture-wicking and performance fabric treatments
  • One cure temp for every color in the shop — no dryer adjustments
  • Same temp for standard and fluorescent bases

⚠ Fluorescent Handling Notes
Fluorescent plastisols are semi-transparent — always use a white underbase on dark garments. Cure at 280°F internal temp (don't overcure; heat degrades fluorescent pigments and dulls vibrancy). Keep flash times short. Use a donut probe to verify cure — not a surface gun.

Screen Printing Pantone Mixing — Answered.

Everything your shop needs to know before starting a Pantone plastisol mixing program.

What equipment do I need to run the LBX system?
The inks and a digital gram scale accurate to 0.1g are the only requirements. The free Pantone formulator software at formulator.screenprintsupplies.com runs in any browser — no download, no account. A paddle mixer attachment for your drill is useful for larger batches but not required to start.
Can I mix LBX inks with my existing plastisol inventory?
LBX inks are formulated specifically for the LBX system. Mixing them with other brands' plastisols may produce inconsistent results and will not be covered by the LBX formulator formulas. For accurate Pantone matching, keep LBX mixes within the LBX system.
How is LBX different from just mixing plastisol by eye?
Eyeballed mixing produces approximate results that vary from batch to batch. The LBX system uses gram-weight formulas calibrated to each base's specific pigment load and tinting strength — producing the same color every time, whether you're mixing for the first job or the hundredth reorder. Consistency is what separates it from guesswork.
Do all 15 bases cure at the same temperature?
Yes — all 15 LBX bases, including the 5 fluorescent bases, cure at 280°F internal ink temp. One cure temp for the entire system. No dryer adjustments between colors, no separate low-cure and standard-cure inventory to manage. Verify with a donut probe for accurate internal temp readings.
Can I use LBX inks on polyester athletic and performance wear?
Yes — the 280°F cure temp is specifically designed to be safe on polyester, tri-blends, and performance fabrics. This is 40°F lower than standard plastisol cure temps, which reduces dye migration risk on poly garments and prevents damage to moisture-wicking and other fabric treatments.
Why do I need an underbase when printing on dark shirts?
Mixed LBX colors are semi-opaque to transparent depending on the formula. On dark garments, the substrate color bleeds through and shifts the printed color away from the Pantone target. A white or gray underbase blocks the substrate and gives the top color a neutral surface to print on for accurate results. The LBX Gray Super Blocker is specifically designed for this purpose on dark shirts and poly blends.
Is the Pantone formulator really free?
Yes — completely free. No subscription, no account, no login required. Go to formulator.screenprintsupplies.com, enter a Pantone number, and you get the formula instantly. It's built specifically for the LBX system and is available to every shop using LBX inks from River City Supply.
What's the fastest way to get started?
Order the LBX Complete Kit — all 15 bases in one order — and a digital gram scale. When the kit arrives, go to formulator.screenprintsupplies.com, enter the Pantone number for your first job, weigh the components, mix, and print. That's the whole workflow. Most shops are running their first accurate Pantone mix within the first hour.
