Printers Choice DTF (Direct To Film) Transfer Film

Printers Choice

Printers Choice coated Direct To FIlm (DTF) films are available in sheets and rolls. This double-sided coated film provides better printer roller traction with minimal static, allowing for an excellent printed image without background artifacts.

DOUBLE-SIDED COATING: We utilize a double-sided coating on the printing surface of our DTF film roll for easy identification; the other side is smooth to make feeding the paper into the DTF printer simpler and easier.

PRINT DESIGNS DIRECTLY: NGOODIEZ DTF transfer film allows you to directly print your beautiful designs in bright, full color directly on the film to create stunning heat transfer letters and images using any roll-enabled desktop DTF printer.

MULTITUDE OF ADVANTAGES: Our DTF transfer film’s premium quality allows the ink to absorb evenly without sticking to the edge. You can print without a water edge and cleanly shake the DTF powder off. Your full-color design will have good elasticity after transfer. It also supports hot and cold peeling.

IDEAL FOR VARIETY OF MATERIAL: Designed for vibrant color transfers on light and dark fabric, our transfer paper can be used on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, leather, spandex, and more. Please note to use this product, you will need DTF Inks, DTF Powder, and a DTF printer.

Description

Printers Choice Direct To Film (DTF) film is used in DTF printing is a special type of transfer film designed to accept ink from the printer and then transfer the printed image onto a variety of surfaces. This film is made from a combination of polyester and polyurethane materials, which provide a smooth and durable surface for the ink to adhere to.

The transfer film used in DTF printing is usually white or transparent, depending on the design requirements. The ink is printed onto the film in reverse so that when it is transferred onto the final surface, the image appears correctly.

Overall, the film used in DTF printing is an essential component of the printing process, as it enables high-quality images to be transferred onto a wide range of surfaces with precision and durability.

“DTF printers” refers to a type of printing technology that uses a process called “Direct to Film” (DTF) printing. DTF printers are designed to print high-quality images on transfer films that can be applied to various surfaces, including fabrics, ceramics, and more.

In DTF printing, the ink is printed onto a transfer film in reverse, so the image appears correctly when applied to the final surface. The transfer film is then placed onto the desired object and heated using a heat press, which causes the ink to transfer onto the object.

DTF printing is similar to other printing technologies, such as Direct to Garment (DTG) printing and screen printing, but it offers some advantages over these methods. For example, DTF printing allows for more precise and detailed designs to be printed and can be used on a wider range of surfaces.

Technical Specifications

Process:

  1. Print the image onto the matte side of the film in mirror mode. (CMYK>>White Ink)
  2. Apply DTF hot melt powder evenly and remove the excess powder
  3. Hovering to bake the hot melt powder (170°C, 5min)
  4. Transfer the image by heat press at 140°C for 15sec with medium pressure
  5. Cold Peel (remove the film gently)
  6. Heat press again for curing (140°C, 5sec) with medium pressure

Warning:

The powder should NOT be applied on the printer platen. It needs to be applied AWAY from the printer. Application near the printer increases the risk of printer damage if the printer “breathes” in the adhesive powder into the intake fan by the electronics near the back of the machine. Damage to the printer for inappropriate use may not be covered under warranty.  Please wear Personal Protective Equipment (eyeglasses, mask, and gloves) when working with DTF products. The fumes from curing the powder can be hazardous.

Note:

  • DTF (Direct To Film) products work with almost all types of fabrics, including 100% polyester, with good quality results!
  • DTF Station Transfer Film does not require pre-treatment and uses a minimum of 75% less DTG inks to get good quality.
  • The designed fabrics or printed shirts have good wash characteristics.
  • The fabric has a very slight hand-feel touch.
  • The process is much faster than Vinyl printing (Vinyl Printer).
