Which roll size do I need?

Match the roll to your printer’s media path, not to your artwork. Desktop DTF units generally take 11.8″ x 328 ft, 13″ x 328 ft or 14.5″ x 328 ft rolls, with 13″ the most common. Wide-format production printers typically run 23.6″ x 328 ft (60 cm), 26″ x 328 ft (66 cm) or 30″ x 328 ft (76 cm). Every width comes on the same 328 ft roll length. Film narrower than your machine supports wastes bed width on every pass; film wider than it accepts will not load. Call us with your printer model and we will confirm before you order.

Where does this ship from?

It depends on the width. If the width you select shows in stock, it is on our shelf in San Antonio — orders before 3:30 PM CT ship same day and free in-store pickup is available. If it does not show in stock, the roll ships direct from CCI in Corona, California, so add transit time from Southern California and expect it to arrive separately from other items on your order. Is the film the same across all six widths?

Yes. Same CCI film chemistry, same double-sided matte construction, same hot and cold peel behaviour, same 328 ft roll length. Only the width changes. That is genuinely useful if you run a desktop unit alongside a wide-format printer — your press settings, powder behaviour and peel timing stay consistent across both machines instead of varying by film brand.

Is CCI film compatible with the STS XPD-924D?

CCI’s 23.6″ x 328 ft film can run on the XPD-924D, but STS’s own V7/V8 film is specifically optimised for the XPD-924D’s vacuum conveyor system and STS XPD2 inks. For XPD-924D users, STS film is the recommended choice. CCI film is an excellent option for other wide-format DTF printers or Epson-based desktop systems with the correct roll holder.

What DTF inks is CCI film compatible with?

CCI film is compatible with most DTF inks formulated for Epson printhead systems, including CCI DTF Ink. The matte coating is designed to work with water-based pigment DTF inks. If you are running a non-standard ink system, test on a short section before committing to a full roll.

Do I print on the matte side or the smooth side?

Always print on the matte (slightly textured) side. This is the coated print surface that accepts ink. The smooth side feeds against the printer rollers. If you are unsure, run a small test strip — ink on the wrong side will bead and not adhere properly.

What is the maximum print width?

Usable print width is slightly narrower than the roll width — you need a small margin on each side for the printer to grip and track the film. Plan on roughly a tenth of an inch less than the nominal width and let your RIP set the page margins. Most wide-format DTF RIP software handles this automatically once you tell it the loaded media size.

Can I use this film for gang sheets?

Yes — and the wider rolls are where gang sheets pay off. A 30″ x 328 ft roll gives you meaningfully more usable width per pass than a 23.6″ x 328 ft, which means tighter nesting and less wasted film between designs. RIP software like CADlink or neoStampa includes gang sheet layout tools. On a gang sheet operation the film between your images is pure loss, so nesting efficiency is margin.

How much film is on a roll?

All widths are 328 ft (100 m) long. Gross coverage runs from roughly 323 square feet on the 11.8″ x 328 ft roll up to about 820 square feet on the 30″ x 328 ft. Usable area is slightly less once you account for edge margins.

How should I store the rolls?

Standing vertically, in a cool dry location, with humidity below 60%. Horizontal storage flattens the roll core and causes uneven feeding for the rest of the roll. Keep rolls out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. The wider rolls are heavy enough that an unsupported core will deform — give them proper support on the rack.
