Printers Choice Dual Cure Pink Screen Printing Emulsion – Versatile Dual Cure Emulsion for Water-Based, Discharge & Plastisol Inks

Printers Choice

Printers Choice Dual Cure Emulsion (Pink) is a high-performance dual-cure screen printing emulsion designed for shops that need flexibility, durability, and consistent results across multiple ink systems. Engineered to perform with water-based, discharge, plastisol, solvent, and UV inks, this emulsion is well-suited for professional screen printers running varied jobs and short to medium production runs.

With a high solids formulation, Printers Choice Dual Cure Emulsion produces strong, detailed stencils that hold up on press while remaining easy to coat, expose, and reclaim. The pink color improves stencil visibility during coating and washout, helping maintain consistency throughout the screen-making process.

This emulsion is sensitized using diazo, allowing printers to adjust exposure latitude and stencil durability based on their workflow. When it’s time to reclaim, it cleans up easily with compatible stencil removers, helping keep screens in rotation and production moving.

Screen Printing Step-by-Step Guide:

Degrease:

  • Using a mesh degreaser, create a lather on both sides of the mesh.
  • Flood the screen and frame thoroughly with water, then allow it to dry.

Coat:

  • Begin by slowly applying the first coat to the print side of the screen.
  • Follow this by applying one coat to the squeegee side.
  • If a thicker stencil is desired, additional coats can be applied to the squeegee side while the emulsion is still wet.
  • Note that one coat on each side with ChromaBlue is equivalent to approximately four coats applied wet on wet with typical diazo-based emulsions.
  • Ensure thorough drying between coats.

Dry:

  • Place the screen in a horizontal position with the print side facing down.
  • Use a completely dark and clean drying cabinet.
  • Maintain a temperature not exceeding 110 degrees Fahrenheit for thorough drying.

Expose:

  • Place the emulsion side of the photopositive in contact with the print side of the screen.
  • Exposure times may vary depending on your light source and coating methods, so precise exposure is crucial for optimal results.
  • It is highly recommended to use an exposure calculator to determine accurate exposure times.

Develop:

  • Gently spray lukewarm water on both sides of the screen.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then gently wash the print side of the screen until the image is fully open.
  • Rinse both sides of the screen thoroughly.
  • Allow the screen to dry completely, and it will be ready for printing.

Additional Notes:

  • Always handle the materials in light-safe conditions.
  • Store them in a cool, dry place to maintain their quality.

These steps will help ensure a successful screen printing process with ChromaBlue emulsion.
