ROQ ROQDry Evolution Quartz Flash Dryer With Smart Probe

ROQ

The ROQ Dry Evolution Quartz Flash Dryer is ROQ’s flagship automatic flash — and its Smart Probe is what sets it apart. The probe continuously reads each garment’s surface temperature and dynamically adjusts the flash time, so prints never scorch or undercure even as pallets warm up over a long run. It integrates directly with ROQ automatic presses (no proximity sensors), uses fast medium-wavelength quartz lamps with dual radiant & convection heat, adds a 90° rotating, extendable head and selectable heat zones, and is air-cooled for water-based inks. Six models from 18″×22″ to 35″×43″.

Description

ROQ Dry Evolution — Smart-Probe Flash That Cures by Temperature, Not Guesswork

On a long automatic run, pallets get hotter — and a fixed flash time slowly turns from “just right” into scorched. The ROQ Dry Evolution solves that with a Smart Probe that reads each garment’s surface temperature and adjusts the flash in real time. You get consistent, scorch-free cures from the first shirt to the last, at full production speed, with the flash talking directly to your ROQ press.

Why Printers Choose the Dry Evolution

Smart Probe Closed-Loop Curing

The probe continuously reads the print’s surface temperature and reports to the press motherboard, which dynamically adjusts flash time — preventing scorching and undercuring and speeding up as pallets warm through the run.

Automatic ROQ Integration

Press-commanded on/off wired straight into your ROQ automatic press — no add-on proximity sensors to mount or fail, perfectly timed to the index.

Fast Medium-Wave Quartz Lamps

Medium-wavelength quartz lamps reach temperature almost instantly for rapid flashing and even coverage across the whole area.

Dual Heat Transfer

Convection and radiant heat combine for superior ink penetration — gels plastisol and drives moisture from water-based inks.

Rotating & Extendable Head

A 90° rotating, extendable head configures for portrait or landscape prints and positions exactly where you need it on the press.

Zones + Multi-Unit Sequencing

Selectable heat zones flash only the print area, while software-controlled sequencing staggers multiple units to prevent electrical surges.

How the Smart Probe Works

Mount the Evolution in a flash position on your ROQ press and connect it to the machine. As each pallet indexes underneath, the Smart Probe reads the garment’s surface temperature and communicates it to the press motherboard, which sets the ideal flash time for that piece. Early in a run the flash is longer; as pallets heat up it automatically shortens — so every print gets exactly the heat it needs and no more. Selectable zones flash only where the ink is, and the rotating/extendable head lines up with any print orientation.

ROQ Dry Evolution Model Lineup

Which model do I need?

Match the drying area to your largest print. The 12100 L (18″×22″) and 14400 XL (20″×28″) suit standard tee and jersey work; the 18000 XL+ and 20400 2XL cover larger prints; the 25500 3XL and 4XL handle oversized and all-over graphics. We’ll confirm the right fit for your press.

Evolution vs. ECO

Both are automatic quartz flashes that integrate with ROQ presses. The Evolution adds the Smart Probe (closed-loop temperature control) and a rotating/extendable head. Want the automatic quartz flash without the probe at a better value? See the ROQ ROQdry ECO.

Works With Your ROQ Press & Inks

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ROQ Dry Evolution — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ROQ Dry Evolution?
It’s ROQ’s flagship automatic quartz flash-cure unit for ROQ presses, built around a Smart Probe that reads garment temperature and adjusts flash time in real time for consistent, scorch-free cures.
What does the Smart Probe do?
It continuously reads the print’s surface temperature and reports to the press motherboard, which dynamically sets the flash time. That prevents scorching and undercuring, and speeds production as pallets warm up through a long run.
How is the Evolution different from the ECO?
Both are automatic quartz flashes that integrate with ROQ presses. The Evolution adds the Smart Probe (closed-loop temperature control) and a 90° rotating, extendable head. The ROQ ROQdry ECO is the automatic quartz flash without the probe at a better value.
Which presses does it work with?
It integrates with ROQ automatic presses (round and oval). It’s press-commanded on/off, so there are no proximity sensors to mount or fail.
What inks can it cure?
Plastisol and water-based. Medium-wave quartz lamps plus dual radiant + convection heat, and an airflow-cooled design that suits water-based inks.
What is the rotating/extendable head for?
The head rotates 90° for portrait or landscape prints and extends so you can position the flash exactly where you need it on the press.
Which model/size should I choose?
Match the drying area to your largest print: 12100 L (18″×22″) and 14400 XL for standard work, 18000 XL+ / 20400 2XL for larger prints, and 25500 3XL / 4XL for oversized and all-over graphics. See the model table above.
Can I run more than one Evolution on a press?
Yes — software-controlled sequencing staggers multiple units so they don’t all draw power at once, preventing electrical surges.
What power supply does it need?
Models run on 1×230V, 3×230V or 3×400V (larger models are 3-phase), from 12.1 kVA up to 25.5 kVA. We’ll confirm the right configuration for your shop.
