Description

Easiway EDF-200 EasiFlo™ Drain Filtration Unit — Heavy-Duty
The EDF-200 is the right filtration unit for shops running an E-48, E-60, or E-72 booth with meaningful daily reclaim volume. Its larger housing means you can run through a full shift — or multiple shifts — before needing to empty the baffle tank. For shops where stopping to clean filtration every few hours is not practical, the EDF-200’s capacity is the solution.
🔬
200-Micron Filter Screen
Captures ink sludge and emulsion solids at the source — clean water exits to drain; solids accumulate in the large baffle tank.
📦
Heavy-Duty Larger Housing
At 24″H × 20″L × 28″W, the EDF-200 has roughly 2.3× the internal volume of the EDF-100 — significantly longer between cleanouts.
🧦
Replaceable Micron Bag Filters
Uses the same 100/200/300 micron replacement bag filters as the EDF-100. Stock extras for maintenance.
🚰
Large Easy-Access Baffle Tank
Designed for high-volume shops — the larger tank means fewer interruptions to production for maintenance.
Gravity-Fed or Sump Pump
Works gravity-fed standard; add a sump pump for maximum drainage speed in busy reclaim environments.
♻️
Supports Compliance
Helps shops keep solids out of municipal sewer systems — important for environmental compliance and drain longevity.

Why Every Screen Printing Shop Needs Drain Filtration

Every time you wash out a screen, the rinse water carries a mix of emulsion fragments, ink pigment solids, and reclaim chemical residue. Without filtration, all of that goes directly down your drain — and it causes real problems over time:

🚽 Clogged Drains & Pipes
Emulsion solids and ink sludge accumulate in trap arms and floor drain lines. A single bad clog can mean an emergency plumber call and a production shutdown.
⚖️ Wastewater Compliance
Many municipalities restrict what commercial businesses can discharge into sewer systems. Ink and emulsion solids can put your shop out of compliance and expose you to fines.
🌿 Environmental Responsibility
Plastisol pigments and emulsion chemicals should not enter waterways. Filtration is a meaningful step toward running a cleaner, more responsible shop.
💸 Expensive Plumbing Repairs
Preventive filtration costs a fraction of what a blocked sewer line, hydrojet service call, or pipe replacement will run — often hundreds to thousands of dollars.

The Easiway EasiFlo™ filtration system solves this at the source. The EDF unit installs under your washout booth, captures solids in an easy-access baffle tank, and lets clean water exit to the drain. Pair it with replacement micron bag filters for zero-downtime ongoing maintenance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is the EDF-200 different from the EDF-100?
The EDF-200 is physically larger — 20″L × 28″W vs 12″L × 24″W — giving it roughly 2.3× the internal volume and a larger baffle tank. Both use the same 200-micron filtration and replaceable bag filter system.
Does the EDF-200 use the same bag filters as the EDF-100?
Yes — both units use the same 4″×24″ micron bag filters in 100, 200, and 300 micron sizes.
How often do I clean the EDF-200 baffle tank?
High-volume shops may empty the tank every shift or every couple of days. Lower-volume shops may go a week or more. The larger tank specifically extends intervals.
Which booths pair best with the EDF-200?
The EDF-200 is recommended for the E-48, E-60, and E-72. For E-32 and E-36 with smaller reclaim volumes, the EDF-100 is a better fit.
Do I need a sump pump?
No — gravity-fed operation works as the standard setup. A sump pump is useful if your drain is not directly below the booth or if you need maximum drainage speed.
Is this filtration required by law?
Requirements vary by municipality. Using a filtration unit and Easiway’s eco-conscious chemistry helps ensure discharge meets common standards — but always verify local requirements.
