Siser TTD High Tack Mask Sheets – Transfer Tape for EasyColor DTV & Siser Printable HTV | 8.4″×11″ & 11″×16″
Siser
Siser TTD High Tack Mask Sheets are clear, high-adhesive transfer masks purpose-built for Siser printable heat transfer vinyl. When standard masks don’t grip tightly enough — on large designs, intricate graphics, or materials like ColorPrint Soft Opaque — High Tack’s stronger adhesive holds the design flat through the squeegee process, preventing the wrinkling and warping that ruins transfers. Clear film for precise placement. Warm peel with no residue. Reusable — store masked designs on the paper backing until you’re ready to press. Available in 8.4″×11″ (standard) and 11″×16″ (large format). CPSIA certified.

Temperature Tip: Cool Before Use in Warm Weather
For best performance, use TTD High Tack Mask when room temperature is below 70°F (21°C). In warm or humid conditions, the adhesive can become too soft. If needed, place the mask in a refrigerator or freezer for 5–10 minutes before use to firm up the tack. The paper backing can be reused to store masked designs until you’re ready to press.
Siser TTD High Tack Mask — When Standard Masks Aren’t Enough
Generic sign-industry transfer tapes leave residue and are difficult to peel under heat. Standard HTV masks handle most jobs, but wrinkling and slipping are real problems on large or detailed designs. TTD High Tack Mask was engineered specifically for heat transfer use on Siser’s print-and-cut media: a stronger adhesive that grips immediately and firmly, a clear film for precise placement, and a warm-peel release that leaves zero residue on the garment. The same formula as Siser’s former Evolution Mask — renamed, same proven performance. Available in 8.4″×11″ and 11″×16″ to match your sheet sizes.
High Tack vs. Easy Mask — What’s the Difference?
Siser makes two TTD mask variants. Easy Mask uses a medium-tack adhesive — ideal for most standard print-and-cut work. High Tack uses a stronger adhesive specifically designed for situations where Easy Mask doesn’t provide enough grip: large designs that tend to wrinkle during masking, highly detailed small graphics, thick or heavy materials, and specialty media like ColorPrint Soft Opaque. High Tack was originally Siser’s Evolution Mask, rebranded. It’s the same formula, stronger grip.
Prevents Wrinkling and Warping on Large Designs
When masking large print-and-cut designs, thinner or less tacky masks allow the design to shift, fold, or wrinkle during the squeegee process. High Tack’s stronger adhesive grips the vinyl firmly the moment it contacts it, creating a bond that holds the design flat during squeegee application. The result is a clean, wrinkle-free transfer ready to press without repositioning or reworking.
Crystal Clear Film — Precise Placement Every Time
Both TTD masks use a fully transparent film. This lets you see the design and the garment through the mask simultaneously, so you can position the transfer exactly where it needs to go before pressing. No guessing, no repositioning after the fact. For multi-color or precisely placed designs, clear film is essential.
No Residue — Warm Peel After Pressing
Standard sign-industry transfer tapes leave adhesive residue on garments after heat application. TTD High Tack Mask is specifically formulated for heat transfer use — it releases cleanly after pressing with a warm peel. No sticky residue on the garment, no damage to the print, no slowing down of the production process.
Reusable — Store Designs on the Paper Backing
TTD High Tack Mask is reusable across multiple transfers. If you’re not pressing immediately after masking, place the masked design back onto the paper backing it came on. This protects the adhesive and keeps the design ready to press whenever you need it. Store multiple masked designs in advance for faster batch production.
Two Sheet Sizes Match Your Print Size
Available in 8.4″×11″ sheets sized for standard inkjet print output, and 11″×16″ sheets for larger-format designs. The 11″×16″ size pairs with the EasyColor DTV 11″×16.5″ sheet format. Cut the mask slightly larger than your design for the best bond and easiest peeling.

🔗 Required for Siser EasyColor DTV
TTD High Tack Mask is the recommended transfer mask for Siser EasyColor DTV. Use it for multi-piece designs, large prints, and any EasyColor transfer that needs a firm grip to prevent wrinkling during application. Single-piece designs can be pressed without mask, but High Tack Mask is always recommended for best results.
How to Use Siser TTD High Tack Mask
Step 1 — Print and Cut Your Design
Print your design on EasyColor DTV or other Siser printable media. Cut and weed the excess material. If using EasyColor DTV, wait 24 hours after printing before applying the mask.
Step 2 — Cut Mask Slightly Larger Than Design
Cut a piece of TTD High Tack Mask slightly wider than your transfer on all sides. A small border of mask beyond the design edge makes the bond easier to create and the peel cleaner.
Step 3 — Peel Paper Backing; Set Aside
Peel the paper backing off the mask. Set it aside — you’ll use it again for storage if not pressing immediately.
Step 4 — Lay Mask Adhesive-Side Up
On a smooth, firm flat surface, lay the mask down with the adhesive side facing up.
Step 5 — Place Design Face-Down on Mask
With the image facing down, center it over the mask. Let the middle of the design touch the adhesive first, then lower the rest of the design onto the mask.
Step 6 — Squeegee from Center Out
Place your squeegee at a 45° angle at the center of the design. With firm pressure, push outward from center to edges. This removes air pockets and creates a solid bond between the design and the mask.
Step 7 — Peel Polyester Backing at 45°
Hold the design at a 45° angle and peel the polyester backing off in one swift, smooth motion. The design should transfer cleanly onto the mask.
Step 8 — Position and Press
Place the design — mask side up, vinyl side down — onto the garment. Position precisely using the clear mask film. Press at the required temperature and time for your specific HTV. For EasyColor DTV: 310°F / 15 seconds / medium pressure.
Step 9 — Warm Peel
Peel the mask off while the transfer is still warm. The High Tack adhesive releases cleanly from both the HTV and the garment when peeled warm. Do not let it cool before peeling.
Step 10 — Store Unused Masks
If you’ve masked designs you’re not pressing immediately, place them back onto the paper backing for storage. The adhesive stays active and the design stays protected until you’re ready.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What’s the difference between TTD High Tack Mask and TTD Easy Mask?
Both are clear, heat-compatible masks purpose-built for Siser printable HTV. The difference is tack level. Easy Mask uses a medium-tack adhesive — the right choice for most standard print-and-cut work. High Tack uses a stronger adhesive, and is specifically recommended for: large designs that tend to wrinkle during masking, very detailed or intricate small graphics, ColorPrint Soft Opaque, EasyPatterns, and any situation where Easy Mask doesn’t grip firmly enough. High Tack is the rebranded Siser Evolution Mask — same formula, new name.
Is TTD High Tack Mask required for EasyColor DTV?
Not always. TTD Easy Mask is the standard recommendation for EasyColor DTV and handles most applications. High Tack becomes the better choice when: your EasyColor design is large and prone to wrinkling, you have fine details that need a firmer grip to lift cleanly, or you’re having trouble getting Easy Mask to hold your design flat during transfer. If Easy Mask is working for your DTV workflow, you don’t need to switch. If you’re having wrinkling or lifting issues, High Tack solves them.
Can I reuse the mask?
Yes. TTD High Tack Mask is reusable across multiple transfers. If you’re not pressing immediately after masking, place the masked design back onto the paper backing it came on. The adhesive stays active, the design stays protected, and you can come back to it whenever you’re ready. This makes it easy to batch-mask multiple designs in advance and press them throughout the day.
Why is my mask not gripping in warm weather?
Heat and humidity soften the adhesive and reduce its tack. Siser specifically recommends using TTD masks when room temperature is below 70°F (21°C). If your environment is warmer, place the mask in a refrigerator or freezer for 5–10 minutes before use. The chilled adhesive will be firmer and grip more effectively.
Which size sheet should I get?
The 8.4″×11″ size is matched to standard inkjet printer output (letter-size). The 11″×16″ size is for larger designs and pairs with the EasyColor DTV 11″×16.5″ sheets. Cut the mask slightly larger than your design on all sides for the best bond and easiest peel.
Will regular vinyl transfer tape work instead?
No. Standard sign-industry transfer tapes are not formulated for heat transfer use. When exposed to press temperatures, they typically leave adhesive residue on the garment and can be difficult to remove. TTD High Tack Mask was specifically formulated for heat transfer applications — it releases cleanly with a warm peel and leaves no residue.
