Technical Information for Excalibur 1596 SportPro Defender
- Gel Temperature: Ink gels on the surface at 240°F (126°C), ensuring the right consistency for flawless printing.
- Curing: Complete curing is achieved when the entire ink film reaches 315°F (163°C) and is held at this temperature for at least 30 seconds, delivering durable and long-lasting prints.
- Heat Transfers: For cold peel transfers, combine Excalibur SportPro Defender with Excalibur 846 Printable Adhesive and C57 Hot Melt Powder. This dynamic trio ensures impeccable adhesion to the substrate.
- Mesh: Use an 83 – 110/inch (16T – 43Tcm) mesh for direct printing and backing cold-peel transfers, offering exceptional results.
- Stencil: Pair Excalibur SportPro Defender with any stencil compatible with plastisol inks to optimize your printing experience.
- Modification: To enhance printability and screen cleaning, add Excalibur 1501 Curable Reducer, but do so with caution to avoid compromising opacity and bleed resistance. Avoid 501PF or 502PF reducers to prevent escalated dye migration.
- Squeegee: Opt for a 70 durometer or 90/70/90 triple durometer blade for optimal printing results.
- Printing Technique: A print/flash print technique may be required to achieve your desired outcome.
- Clean-up: Efficiently clean screens with Spray Wipes & Screen openers to maintain a smooth workflow.
