Printing Directions for Printer’s Choice Four Color Process Plastisol Inks with 305 Mesh Screens:

Step 1: Artwork Preparation

  • Begin by ensuring that your artwork is prepared for four-color process printing. Separate your image into the four primary colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK). These colors will be printed in layers to create a full-color image.

Step 2: Screen Preparation

  • Set up four screens, each with a 305 mesh count. These screens are ideal for fine detail and full-color printing.

Step 3: Ink Mixing

  • Prepare the appropriate CMYK inks according to your artwork specifications. Ensure accurate ink mixing to achieve the desired color balance.

Step 4: Screen Printing Sequence

  • Start with the lightest color, typically Yellow (Y).
  • Load the Yellow ink onto your screen, ensuring even coverage.
  • Carefully position your garment or substrate to be printed on the printing press.

Step 5: Printing

  • Lower the screen onto the substrate and apply even, light pressure to transfer the Yellow ink.
  • Lift the screen and allow the ink to air dry or use a flash cure unit to partially cure it. Ensure that the ink is dry to the touch before proceeding.

Step 6: Repeat for Other Colors

  • Repeat the printing process for each of the remaining CMYK colors (Cyan, Magenta, and Black), following the same steps: load the ink, position the garment, and print each color layer in sequence.
  • Remember to flash cure each color before adding the next one.

Step 7: Final Cure

  • After all four colors are printed and flash-cured, ensure that the ink layers are dry and have minimal tackiness.
  • Perform a final cure by passing the printed garment through a conveyor dryer set at the recommended curing temperature and dwell time for your specific ink.

Step 8: Inspection

  • Once the final cure is complete, inspect the print for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality. Make any necessary adjustments or touch-ups as needed.

Step 9: Finished Product

  • Your full-color image is now complete! You’ve successfully used Printer’s Choice Four Color Process Plastisol Inks with 305 mesh screens to create a vibrant and detailed print on your chosen substrate.

Remember to refer to the specific technical guidelines provided by Printer’s Choice for recommended curing temperatures and dwell times to ensure the best results for your particular ink and equipment setup.
