Description

InkTek RO Mixing System — Low Cure 280°F

Switch your whole ink room in one order.

Changing mixing systems usually means a month of hedging — a few colors at a time, two systems on the shelf, and operators guessing which can to reach for. The kit removes that. All 18 inter-mixable RO colors arrive together, so you convert once, clear the old cans out, and move on.

The system is matched shade-for-shade to the most widely used 18-color low-cure mixing system in the industry, and cures at 280°F. Your weight-based formulas, your dryer profile and your screens all stay as they are — the only thing that changes is what the components cost you.

Why buy the kit instead of colors one at a time

One conversion, not eighteen

Buying components piecemeal means running two systems side by side while you switch, which is exactly when mixing mistakes happen. The kit gets every position filled on the same day.

Priced below buying separately

The kit costs less than ordering all eighteen colors individually, so the cheapest way into the system is also the fastest.

Every formula becomes possible immediately

A mixing system only works when every position is stocked. Missing one color blocks any formula that calls for it — and it is always the one a customer needs that afternoon.

Cures at 280°F

Low cure across the full ink film — less energy, less scorching, and less dye migration on heat-sensitive blanks.

High opacity

Formulated for high opacity, so you get to color on press faster — fewer strokes, more flexibility in mesh choice, less ink on the shirt.

Press-ready finished inks

Every color is a finished ink balanced for viscosity, not a concentrate. Print any of them straight from the can, or weigh them into a formula.

What’s in the kit

All 18 inter-mixable RO colors — one container of each, in your chosen kit size
Quart Kit — for sampling the system, drawdowns and low-volume shops
Gallon Kit — for shops mixing in production volume
Press-ready finished inks — print straight from the can or weigh into formulas

The 18 colors

Switch your mixing system — not your workflow

Keep your formulas

Matched shade-for-shade to the industry’s most widely used 18-color low-cure system, with the same 18-color structure — so your weight-based formulas carry across. Mix your top formulas first and pull drawdowns beside your current ink before converting production.

Keep your cure settings

280°F across the full ink film. Same low-cure window, same dryer profile, same flash settings. It can also run on the same design as standard 320°F inks — cure to whichever ink needs more.

Keep your screens

110–305 mesh at 25–35 N/cm². Unsure what is on your screens? Check them with a mesh count determiner before you convert.

Lower the cost behind every color

Mixing components are the biggest recurring ink cost in a shop that matches in-house, because every custom color is built from them. Lower the component cost and every mixed color gets cheaper — with no retraining and no new equipment.

RO system at a glance

Cure

Mesh

110–305 threads per inch at 25–35 N/cm² tension.

Run drawdowns before you convert production

Shade-for-shade matched is the design goal — your eye on your garments is the final check. Mix your most-used formulas, pull drawdowns beside your current ink, and switch once you are satisfied.

Do not mix systems in one formula

Build each formula entirely from RO components. Blending components from two different mixing systems in the same cup is how a formula stops being repeatable.

Polyester still needs a low-bleed underbase

The system performs best on 100% cotton. On polyester and blends, print over a low-bleed white or bleed blocker and keep time at temperature controlled.

Mix by weight, every time

Weight is repeatable; volume is not. Zero the container on a scale, add each component to target, and mix thoroughly — an ink mixer helps on larger batches.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

What exactly comes in the kit?

All 18 inter-mixable RO mixing colors — one container of each in your chosen kit size, quart or gallon. Those are the same finished inks sold individually in the RO color range. Call (512) 454-0505 to confirm the exact breakdown before you order.

Is the kit cheaper than buying the colors separately?

Yes — the kit is priced below ordering all eighteen colors individually, which is why it is the usual way shops enter the system. If you only need a few positions topped up, buy those colors on their own instead.

Quart Kit or Gallon Kit?

Quart if you are sampling the system, pulling drawdowns, or running lower volume — it fills every position without tying up cash. Gallon if you already mix custom color in production volume and do not want to reorder mid-job. Most shops start with quarts, then move their heavy-use colors to gallons once they see what they burn through.

Will the kit work with the formulas I already mix?

The RO system is matched shade-for-shade to the industry’s most widely used 18-color low-cure mixing system, with the same 18-color structure, so weight-based formulas built on that structure carry across. Mix your most-used formulas first and pull drawdowns beside your current ink before converting production — send us your formulas and we will help.

What temperature does it cure at?

280°F across the entire ink film, held at or above temperature for 5–10 seconds. It can run on the same design as standard 320°F inks — cure to the higher requirement. Verify with a donut probe rather than a surface reading.

Can I print these straight from the can?

Yes. Every color in the kit is a finished, press-ready ink balanced for viscosity — print it as-is or weigh it into a formula.

Do I need special equipment to mix?

A scale is the one thing you cannot skip — formulas are built by weight, not volume. For larger batches an ink mixer gives a more consistent blend and saves time.

Can I mix RO with my old system’s components?

Build each formula entirely from RO components. Blending components from two different mixing systems in one cup makes the result unrepeatable, which defeats the point of running a system at all.

How do I handle polyester?

Print over a low-bleed white or bleed blocker on polyester and poly blends, and keep time at temperature under control. The system performs best on 100% cotton.

What mesh should I use?

110–305 threads per inch at 25–35 N/cm². Lower counts lay more ink for opacity, higher counts hold detail. Check your screens with a mesh count determiner if they are unmarked.

How do I reorder individual colors?

Every color in the kit is stocked on its own in quart, gallon, 5 gallon and 30 gallon — browse the RO color range and top up whichever positions run down.

How fast does it ship?

In-stock orders placed by 3:30 PM CT ship the same day, with free shipping over $200 and free in-store pickup at our San Antonio location. See our store policies for details.
