Inktek Liquid Gold Plastisol Ink – High-Concentration Metallic for Bold, Intense Gold Prints
Inktek Liquid Gold is a high-concentration metallic plastisol ink formulated with increased metallic pigment loading for a bolder, more intense gold effect than standard metallic gold inks. The “liquid” character refers to the lower viscosity formulation that flows smoothly through screens, deposits cleanly, and produces a richer, more saturated gold surface in the cured print.
Available in Quart, Gallon, and 5-Gallon. Stir thoroughly before each use. Print as a ready-to-use ink — no thinning or modification required.
Is This the Right Ink for Your Job?
Use This When You Want…
✓
Need a more intense, saturated gold than standard metallic gold delivers
✓
Printing large fill areas where standard gold looks thin or flat
✓
Premium branded merchandise where gold needs maximum impact
✓
Customer needs maximum gold brightness with minimum ink deposit
Consider Something Else If You Need…
✗
Standard metallic gold intensity is sufficient for your application
✗
Printing very fine lines or halftone detail (lower viscosity may need mesh adjustment)
✗
Need warm athletic gold specifically (consider Metallic Bobcat Gold for standard team colors)
Key Features
Higher Metallic Pigment Loading
More metallic gold pigment per unit volume than standard metallic gold. The result is a denser, more reflective gold surface with greater color saturation and sheen intensity in the cured print.
Lower Viscosity Formula
The “liquid” formulation is thinner than standard metallic gold, which can improve flow through screens and reduce the force required per squeegee stroke — useful for printing large fill areas on manual presses.
Maximum Gold Brightness
Formulated for situations where standard metallic gold produces a satisfactory but not spectacular result. Liquid Gold provides the extra intensity step needed for premium applications.
Versatile Mesh Range
The lower viscosity opens up a slightly wider mesh count range than standard metallic inks. Can be used through 110–160 mesh for finer detail while still maintaining strong metallic character.
Mix for Custom Shades
Blend Liquid Gold with Metallic Silver Platinum for custom antique gold and champagne tones with elevated metallic intensity. Small additions of Rose Gold create warm blush-gold shades.
Ready to Print
Use directly from the container after thorough stirring. Metallic pigment particles settle during storage — always stir from the bottom before printing.
Pairs Best With

Large-Fill Metallic Gold Areas
When a design calls for large areas of gold fill — chest logos, back graphics, oversized numbers — Liquid Gold provides the coverage and intensity needed without the thin, flat look that can result from standard metallic gold on large areas.
Premium Branded Merchandise
For brand programs where gold is a primary brand element — luxury hospitality, fashion brands, premium corporate apparel — Liquid Gold delivers the elevated metallic standard that high-end clients expect.
Mixed Metallic Color Work
Liquid Gold is an excellent base for building custom metallic color palettes due to its high pigment loading. A small amount shifts other metallics significantly, allowing tight control over custom metallic tones with less product.

How to Wash Test Plastisol Prints
Whenever you change ink, mesh count, dryer settings, or substrate — run a wash test before releasing production. This is the only definitive check for cure and wash durability.
Step 1 — Cure a Test Print
Print and cure a test garment at your production dryer settings. Let cool completely before washing.
Step 2 — Wash Hot
Machine wash on the hottest setting with standard detergent. Hot water is the stress test — if it holds here, it holds everywhere.
Step 3 — Repeat 3–5 Cycles
Run 3–5 full wash/dry cycles. Under-cured prints fail in the first 1–3 washes. Properly cured prints show no change.
Step 4 — Inspect
Look for cracking, peeling, delamination, or color change. A properly cured metallic print retains its shine and adhesion. Do a stretch test — pull the print firmly and check for cracking.
If metallic prints dull or lose sheen after washing: This is almost always under-cure. Check actual garment surface temperature with a donut probe or temp tape — not dryer air temp. Increase dwell time before re-testing.
Stir Thoroughly — Higher Pigment Settles Faster
Due to the higher metallic pigment concentration, Liquid Gold particles may settle more quickly than standard metallic inks. Stir thoroughly before printing and re-stir after short pauses.
Test Cure on First Use
The higher pigment concentration can affect heat absorption during cure. Run a full wash test on your first production run to confirm cure integrity at your standard dryer settings.
