Description

All the Inks — Just Add Your Pantone Book

This kit gives you every Infinity Series ink and the essential Retarder MG additive — everything you need to start printing water-based inks with matte finish and semi-opaque coverage. The one thing you need to add: a Pantone Formula Guide.

If you already own a current Pantone Formula Guide, this is the right kit — you save money by not buying a duplicate book. If you do NOT own a Pantone book, consider the Infinity Series Starter Kit WITH Pantone Book instead, which bundles both coated and uncoated Pantone books with the full ink set.

The Infinity Series is a complete, ready-for-use ink system. Every color prints straight from the bucket. Every color blends with every other color. The Pantone Formula Guide tells you exactly which colors to mix and in what ratios — for any Pantone code your customer requests. And the Retarder MG keeps the ink open in your screens during production.

Retarder MGPintExtends open time in the screen. Prevents ink from drying during production. Use 1-3%.

What is NOT included (sold separately): Pantone Formula Guide (required for Pantone color matching — purchase separately or get the kit WITH Pantone Book), Spot Black (for opaque solid black — Black C in the kit is a mixing/shading dark gray), Blue 072 (additional vivid blue), Red 032 (true primary red).

How It Works — Open the Book, Follow the Formula, Print

Step 1: Customer selects a Pantone® color from your Pantone Formula Guide (sold separately).

Step 2: Open the book to that color. The formula is printed right there — showing which Infinity colors to mix and at what ratios by weight.

Step 3: Weigh Infinity colors on a gram scale per the formula. Mix thoroughly in a clean container.

Step 4: Print a test swatch on your actual garment. Compare to the Pantone page. Adjust if needed. Run production.

No CMS software. No computer. No app. The Pantone book IS the mixing guide.

On Light Garments — Direct Print

Print Infinity colors directly on white or light-colored garments. No underbase needed on white. Semi-opaque formulation with matte surface appearance and ultra-soft hand feel. Cotton, cotton-poly blends, and polyester (with blocker).

On Dark Garments — Over White Underbase

On dark garments, print a white underbase first (flash-cure it), then print Infinity colors on top. Use Under Base Blocker Gray (dark cotton) or Under Base Blocker Black LG (dark polyester/blends) under the white to prevent dye migration.

⚠️ Infinity Series is NOT dischargeable. If you need discharge capability on dark 100% cotton, choose the Alpha Series Starter Kit instead — same Pantone book workflow, same ease of use, but with the added ability to discharge.

Recommended Additional Purchases

⚠️ Pantone Formula Guide (Coated & Uncoated) — REQUIRED for Pantone color matching. The Pantone book is the mixing guide — it tells you which Infinity colors to blend and at what ratios. Without it, you can still print Infinity colors as spot colors from the bucket, but you cannot mix custom Pantone shades. If you need the book, consider the Starter Kit WITH Pantone Book instead.

Infinity Spot Black — dedicated OPAQUE black for solid black text, logos, and fills. The Black C in the kit is a mixing/shading dark gray — NOT a true black.

Quick Additive — all-in-one (Retarder + Fixer WF-N + Softener) at 6-9%.

Fixer WF-N — improves wash fastness (1-3%).

Blue 072 — additional vivid blue between Reflex Blue and Process Blue.

Red 032 — true primary neutral red.

Under Base Blocker Gray / Black LG — for dark garments.

Water-resistant emulsions — Chromaline CPTex or Hydro-X recommended.

⚠️ Contamination Warning

Infinity Series inks MUST be mixed in clean vessels using clean mixing blades and utensils. Any contamination from other ink sources or non-approved additives could cause Infinity Colors to test positive for restricted PVCs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does this kit include a Pantone book?

⚠️ NO — this kit does NOT include a Pantone Formula Guide. You will need to purchase a Pantone Formula Guide separately to look up Pantone mixing formulas. If you do not already own one, the Infinity Series Starter Kit WITH Pantone Book bundles both coated and uncoated books with the full ink set.

Do I need a Pantone book to use this kit?

You can print every Infinity color straight from the bucket as a spot color WITHOUT a Pantone book. However, to MIX custom Pantone-matched colors by blending Infinity colors together, you need a Pantone Formula Guide — the book contains the mixing formulas that tell you which Infinity colors to blend and at what ratios.

Do I need software to match Pantone® colors?

NO. The Infinity Series is designed to work with the physical Pantone Formula Guide directly. Open the book, read the formula, weigh and mix. No CMS software, no computer, no app.

Can I use this for discharge printing on dark garments?

⚠️ NO — Infinity Series is NOT dischargeable. For discharge capability on dark 100% cotton, choose the Alpha Series Starter Kit instead. Infinity can print on dark garments over a white underbase (non-discharge method).

What is the difference between Black C and Spot Black?

Black C (included in this kit) is a mixing/shading dark gray — it darkens and mutes other colors but prints as a DARK GRAY, not an opaque black. Spot Black (sold separately) is the dedicated opaque black for solid black text, logos, and fills.

What is the difference between Infinity and Alpha?

Both are RFU mixing systems using Pantone book formulas with no software. The key difference: Alpha Series is dischargeable (add activator for dark cotton). Infinity is water-based only — cannot discharge. Choose Alpha if you need discharge. Choose Infinity for water-based-only with matte finish.

What mesh should I use?

Up to 305 mesh.

What additives should I use?

Retarder MG (included in kit) at 1-3% for screen open time. For additional performance: Quick Additive (6-9%) for all-in-one, Fixer WF-N (1-3%) for wash fastness, Softener MG (1-5%) for fabric penetration. Adjust viscosity with Thickener B (0.25-1%) or RV Additive (1-3%).
