Saati Hi-Tex ECO Panel 23″×31″ (6-Pack) – Standard Thread Screen Printing Mesh for High-Volume Plastisol Production
Nortech
The Saati Hi-Tex ECO Panel 23″×31″ (6-Pack) brings the most trusted standard-thread screen printing mesh in the textile industry to the ECO Frame panel system. Saati Hi-Tex is a high-modulus, low-elongation monofilament polyester mesh — a thicker thread diameter that delivers outstanding tear resistance, holds high tension levels, and has been the workhorse of plastisol textile printing for decades. Each panel is pre-woven into a plastic locking strip that snaps directly into your Nortech ECO Frame 23″×31″ — no adhesive, no degreasing required before first use (only properly abraded and degreased).

Description
The Plastisol Industry’s Most Trusted Mesh — Now Available as ECO Frame Panels
Saati Hi-Tex has dominated plastisol textile screen printing for decades for one reason: it works. Thick threads. High tension tolerance. Tear resistance that holds up under the sustained squeegee pressure of high-volume production runs. The Hi-Tex ECO Panel 23×31 brings that proven performance to the ECO Frame’s no-adhesive locking strip system — so you get the durability of Hi-Tex with the flexibility of on-site panel swaps.
📦 What’s Included
Six (6) Saati Hi-Tex mesh panels sized 23″×31″, pre-woven into plastic locking strips for direct installation into the Nortech ECO Frame 23″×31″. Mesh count and color selected at time of purchase. Also requires the Nortech ECO Stretching Tool for installation (sold separately). Hi-Tex has no surface treatment — must be properly degreased and abraded before coating with emulsion.
What Makes Hi-Tex the Production Plastisol Standard
💪 Thick Thread — Maximum Durability
Hi-Tex uses a thicker thread diameter than Hi-Dro thin thread mesh at the same mesh count. The 158 Hi-Tex has a 64 µm thread diameter vs Hi-Dro’s 48 µm. Those thicker threads resist tearing, hold high tension levels, and are more resistant to popping under aggressive squeegee pressure on automatic presses.
🎯 High Tension Tolerance
The thick, high-modulus polyester threads can be stretched to and maintained at high tension levels without the risk of tearing that thinner mesh can experience. For production shops running many hours per day, this durability translates directly into longer panel life and fewer emergency re-meshings.
🔄 ECO Frame Convenience
The same locking strip system as every other ECO panel — snap into your 23×31 ECO Frame, tension with the stretching tool, verify with the tension meter, and print. No adhesive, no chemical degradation of the mounting system, dip tank safe.

Hi-Tex vs. Hi-Dro — Choosing the Right Mesh for Your Job
Most high-performance shops stock both. Hi-Tex handles your heavy-deposit plastisol work. Hi-Dro handles your water-based, discharge, and fine-detail work.
| Factor | 🔴 Hi-Tex (This Product) | 💧 Hi-Dro |
|---|---|---|
| Thread Diameter (158 count) | 64 µm — Thicker | 48 µm — Thinner |
| Tear Resistance | Excellent — production grade | Good — handle with care |
| Plastisol Performance | Excellent — industry workhorse | Good — softer hand result |
| Water-Based Performance | Good — requires degreasing | Excellent — purpose-built |
| Surface Treatment | None — must degrease before use | Plasma treated — coat immediately |
| Best For | High-opacity plastisol, heavy underbases, high-volume production | Water-based, discharge, halftones, soft-hand plastisol |
⚠️ Important: Saati Hi-Tex has no surface treatment and requires proper degreasing and abrasion before first use and before each reuse. Use a quality screen degreaser before coating with emulsion. This is not required for Hi-Dro panels.
Complete Your Hi-Tex ECO Panel Setup
Install these panels in the ECO Frame 23×31 using the locking strip system.
The retensionable frame these panels are cut for. Locking strip system — no adhesive. Dip tank safe. 100% recyclable.
🔧 Nortech ECO Stretching Tool →
Required for installation. Seats the locking strip and applies even tension across all four sides.
Verify tension in Newtons/cm after every install. Consistent tension = consistent ink deposit.
💧 Saati Hi-Dro ECO Panel 23×31 (6-Pack) →
Thin-thread plasma-treated mesh. Stock alongside Hi-Tex for water-based and halftone work.
Chromaline, Murakami, and Saati emulsions. Always degrease Hi-Tex panels before coating.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Saati Hi-Tex mesh?
Saatilene Hi-Tex is the thick-thread standard that has powered plastisol textile printing for decades. Thicker thread = superior tear resistance and high tension tolerance. No surface treatment — must be degreased before every use. Installs in the ECO Frame 23×31 via locking strip.
Do I need to degrease Hi-Tex panels before use?
Yes — Hi-Tex requires degreasing and abrasion before every use. Use a quality screen degreaser before coating with emulsion. This is the key difference from Hi-Dro, which can be coated immediately after installation.
What is the difference between Hi-Tex and Hi-Dro for ECO Frame panels?
Hi-Tex: thicker thread, more durable, plastisol workhorse, must degrease. Hi-Dro: thinner thread, plasma-treated, no degreasing, better for water-based and halftones. Most shops stock both and swap panels at the ECO Frame as needed.
