A triple durometer blade solves a real problem in screen printing: you want blade flexibility at the contact edge for fabric conformance and ink transfer, but you also want blade rigidity throughout the stroke so the blade doesn’t bow and create uneven pressure. A single-durometer blade forces you to choose one or the other. The 70/90/70 triple has soft outer layers (70) that contact the mesh and fabric naturally, bonded to a harder center core (90) that resists bowing and maintains consistent printing pressure across the full stroke. 🔧 Squeegee Blade Care & Sharpening

  • Store blades edge-up or hanging — never lay a squeegee flat with blade down. The edge deforms under the handle weight over time.
  • Sharpen regularly — a dull blade requires more pressure to shear ink through the mesh, which increases mesh wear, stencil wear, and wrist fatigue. Sharpen when you notice ink deposit becoming uneven or edges ragged.
