CCI LSR30 Liquid Stain Remover – Heavy-Duty Ghost & Ink Stain Removal for Screen Printers
CCI
CCI LSR-30 is a semi-viscous dehazer and degreaser engineered to remove ghost images and cured ink stains from screen mesh — with less odor and less effort than paste stain removers. The viscous formula clings to the mesh for consistent contact during dwell time and works on all ink systems: plastisol, UV, solvent-based, and water-based. A proprietary mesh protector is built into the formula, protecting mesh integrity while aggressively targeting embedded ink stains. Non-flammable, low-VOC, biodegradable, and drain safe. Hazmat fee applies to 1 gallon and larger. Quart ships standard.

CCI LSR-30 — Semi-Viscous Dehazer & Degreaser with Proprietary Mesh Protector
Ghost images and cured ink stains are the last thing to clear from a screen after full reclaim. Standard reclaim chemistry can’t touch them. Paste haze removers work but take effort and produce strong fumes. LSR-30 is CCI’s answer: a semi-viscous liquid that clings to the mesh for consistent chemistry contact, attacks embedded ink with less odor and less manual scrubbing than paste, and carries a proprietary mesh protector built directly into the formula so it’s aggressive on stains without compromising fiber integrity. Works on all ink systems. Includes built-in degreasing so no separate step is needed. Non-flammable as formulated, low VOC, biodegradable, drain safe. Gallon and larger sizes are classified hazmat — UPS fee $58/box. Quart ships standard.
Semi-Viscous — Clings to Mesh, Stays Put
LSR-30’s semi-viscous consistency is the key to its performance. Thin liquids run off vertical screens and lose contact with the mesh. Paste products take more effort to apply. LSR-30 sits between the two — thick enough to cling to the mesh and maintain contact during the full dwell period, fluid enough to apply quickly to large screen areas.
All Ink Systems — No Exceptions
Designed for all ink systems: plastisol, UV, solvent-based, and water-based. Unlike some haze removers that are optimized for one ink type, LSR-30 addresses the full spectrum of screen printing inks. One product handles ghost images from any run, in any ink system.
Proprietary Mesh Protector
CCI built a proprietary mesh protector into the LSR-30 formula. This is the key chemistry that allows LSR-30 to be aggressive on cured ink stains while remaining mesh-safe on polyester and nylon fibers. The mesh protector reduces the risk of fiber stress during the scrubbing and dwell process.
Dehazer + Degreaser in One Step
LSR-30 is both a dehazer and a degreaser in a single application. After removing ghost images, the degreasing action leaves the mesh clean of oils, inks, and residues that could cause pinholes or poor emulsion adhesion on the next coat. No separate degreasing step required.
Works Better Than Paste Stain Removers
CCI positions LSR-30 directly against paste-format haze removers — easier to apply across large mesh areas, less manual scrubbing effort, and lower odor during the dwell period. For high-volume shops processing many screens, the labor savings compound quickly.
High Load Capacity — Reduces Usage
High load capacity means LSR-30 stays active through more cleaning work before becoming exhausted. A small amount covers the mesh thoroughly and remains effective through the full dwell period. Lower cost per screen than products with lower load capacity.
Low VOC & Lower Inhalation Hazard
Low VOC content and lower inhalation hazard classification make LSR-30 more practical for use in confined reclaim rooms. Paste haze removers often produce stronger fumes during scrubbing. LSR-30’s chemistry is formulated to reduce this exposure for operators working in close contact all day.
Non-Flammable Formula
Despite being classified as corrosive and combustible in its concentrate form (triggering hazmat shipping), LSR-30 is non-flammable as formulated for use. This is an important distinction for shops with flash cure dryers, conveyor ovens, or other heat sources in proximity to the reclaim area.

💬 LSR-30 vs. CCI Re-Stor
Both are CCI liquid haze removers with semi-viscous formula and proprietary mesh protector. The key differences:
LSR-30: Up to 10-minute dwell. Dehazer + degreaser combined. Designed for all ink systems. Corrosive/combustible — hazmat on gallon+. Non-flammable as formulated.
Re-Stor: 3–8 minute dwell. Also semi-viscous with mesh protector. Also corrosive — hazmat on gallon+. Both products occupy the same workflow position; either works. LSR-30’s longer dwell option (up to 10 min) makes it the stronger choice for the most stubborn, aged stains.
How to Use CCI LSR-30
Step 1 — Remove All Emulsion First
Before applying LSR-30, remove all emulsion from the screen using your emulsion remover (such as CCI CSR-30). LSR-30 targets ink stains embedded in the mesh, not emulsion. Complete the emulsion removal step first.
Step 2 — Apply to Ink Side of Wet Screen
Brush LSR-30 onto the ink (squeegee) side of the screen while it is still wet from the emulsion removal rinse. The semi-viscous formula will cling to the mesh fibers even on a wet surface, maintaining contact throughout the dwell.
Step 3 — Work Into Both Sides
Using a non-abrasive brush or scrub pad, work LSR-30 into the mesh on both sides of the screen. Agitate the formula into the stained areas to maximize contact with the embedded ink constituents.
Step 4 — Dwell Up to 10 Minutes
Set the screen aside and allow LSR-30 to dwell for up to 10 minutes. The proprietary chemistry penetrates the mesh knuckles during this time, breaking down cured ink deposits. Do not allow the product to dry on the screen during dwell — mist with water if needed.
Step 5 — High-Pressure Rinse, Print Side First
Rinse with high-pressure water starting from the bottom of the screen to the top on the print side. This bottom-to-top direction prevents dissolved ink from washing back into already-cleaned mesh areas.
Step 6 — Reverse and Rinse Again
Flip the screen and repeat the high-pressure rinse on the reverse (squeegee) side, again bottom to top. Ensure all LSR-30 and dissolved ink residue is completely washed away from both sides.
Step 7 — Allow to Dry
Allow the screen to air dry before recoating with emulsion. The degreasing action of LSR-30 leaves the mesh clean and ready for emulsion adhesion. No additional degreasing step needed if dried in a clean environment.
For Stubborn Stains — Repeat
Check for remaining stains after drying. For particularly stubborn or multi-layered ghost images, reapply LSR-30 and repeat the process. The high load capacity ensures repeat applications remain effective.
💧 Do Not Let Dry on Screen
Like most liquid haze removers, LSR-30 should not be allowed to fully dry on the screen before rinsing. If the dwell time is running long and the screen begins to dry in warm conditions, mist the screen lightly with water to keep the formula active on the mesh. Rinse with high-pressure water before the product fully dries.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
⚠️
Hazmat Shipping Notice
Sizes 1 gallon and larger are classified as hazardous materials. A UPS Hazmat fee per box applies at checkout, even if the order qualifies for free shipping. Quart size ships standard — no hazmat fee.
Why does this product have a hazmat shipping fee?
The concentrate is classified as corrosive and combustible by DOT, triggering the hazardous materials classification. A UPS Hazmat fee per box applies to 1 gallon and larger sizes, added at checkout even if the order qualifies for free shipping. The quart size ships as non-hazardous with no additional fee. Despite the hazmat classification of the concentrate, LSR-30 is non-flammable as formulated for use.
What makes LSR-30 better than paste stain removers?
Three things CCI specifically calls out: lower odor, less effort, and better performance. The semi-viscous liquid is easier to apply across large screen areas than paste, requires less manual scrubbing, and produces less fumes during the dwell period. It also includes a proprietary mesh protector and built-in degreasing that paste products don’t always offer.
What is the proprietary mesh protector?
CCI’s proprietary mesh protector is a chemistry component built into the LSR-30 formula that helps protect mesh fibers while the product aggressively targets cured ink stains. This allows LSR-30 to be used at full strength for the full dwell period without the concern of fiber damage that more caustic or abrasive products can cause.
Do I need to degrease the screen after using LSR-30?
No — LSR-30 is both a dehazer and a degreaser in a single application. After the high-pressure rinse and air drying in a clean environment, the mesh is ready for emulsion coating. No separate degreasing product or step required.
Should I apply LSR-30 to a wet or dry screen?
CCI’s directions specify applying to the ink side of a WET screen. The semi-viscous formula maintains contact with the mesh even on a wet surface. Do not allow the product to dry on the screen during the dwell period — mist with water if needed.
How long should I let it dwell?
Up to 10 minutes. For lighter or fresh ghost images, 1–3 minutes is often sufficient. For stubborn, aged, or multiple-layer stains, allow the full 10-minute dwell. The longer the dwell (within limits), the more thoroughly the chemistry penetrates the mesh knuckles.
How is LSR-30 different from CCI Re-Stor?
Both are CCI semi-viscous liquid haze removers with proprietary mesh protectors and hazmat classification on gallon+. The primary practical difference: LSR-30 allows up to 10 minutes of dwell, compared to Re-Stor’s 3–8 minutes. For the most stubborn, deeply set ghost images, LSR-30’s extended dwell option makes it the stronger choice. Both products work well — if you’ve had success with Re-Stor, LSR-30 is a direct step up for harder jobs.
What ink types does it remove?
LSR-30 is designed for all ink systems — plastisol, UV, solvent-based, and water-based. It targets cured ink stains regardless of the ink type that created them.
