Corob Orbital Mixer 700 – Precision Mixing for Plastisol & Water-Based Screen Printing Inks

Corob

The Corob CLEVERmix 700E is a fully automatic gyroscopic mixer that mixes water-based ink color perfectly right inside the sealed can — with no blades or shafts to clean. It also gets existing plastisol press-ready (for mixing plastisol color, reach for a blade mixer).

No blades — nothing to clean
The can spins sealed on two axes, so nothing ever touches your ink. No shaft to scrape, no cleanup, no downtime.
Water-based color, mixed perfectly
Gyroscopic action folds pigment fully into water-based and discharge inks, so you can mix and match water-based colors right in the sealed can — even, repeatable, with nothing to clean.
Plastisol: gets it press-ready
Reconditions existing plastisol to a smooth, printable body. It won’t fold pigment into thick plastisol, so to mix or match plastisol color use the Tornado Ink Mixer.
Big cans, small footprint
Handles cans up to 40 kg (88 lb) — round, square or oval, even multiple cans at once — in just 6.78 sq ft of floor space.
Built to run all day
A robust COROB (a Graco company) machine with foot-operated loading, a countdown display, and CE/UKCA/ETL certification.

A perfect companion in any screen shop or paint counter. See the full mixer lineup or browse our screen printing inks.

The advantage
Mix water-based color — with nothing to clean
The CLEVERmix mixes the sealed can from the outside, so you mix water-based color and recondition plastisol with no blade to scrub afterward.
No cleanup, ever
It grips the sealed can and mixes from the outside, so no blade or shaft ever enters your ink. Nothing to scrape, no downtime between jobs.
Water-based color, mixed perfectly
The gyroscopic action folds pigment fully into water-based and discharge inks, so color comes out even and repeatable — mix or match water-based colors right in the sealed can, nothing to clean.
Plastisol, made press-ready
Plastisol settles and stiffens on the shelf. Run a sealed bucket through a cycle and it comes out reconditioned to a smooth, printable body — without whipping in air. Plastisol is too heavy for gyroscopic mixing to fold in pigment, so it won’t mix or match plastisol color — for that, use a blade mixer.
Plastisol color?
Pair it with a blade mixer
It mixes water-based color perfectly, but plastisol color needs a blade. Here’s how to cover both.

AWT Tornado Ink Mixer

Mixing plastisol color? You need a blade mixer
The CLEVERmix mixes water-based ink color perfectly — but it won’t fold pigment into thick plastisol. To mix or match plastisol colors, use the folding action of a blade system like the Tornado Ink Mixer. Many shops run both: the Tornado for plastisol color, the CLEVERmix for water-based color and for getting plastisol press-ready.
The technology
How gyroscopic mixing works
Two axes, a sealed can, and a smooth result — even with heavy, high-viscosity inks.
Two axes, sealed can, even reconditioning
The mechanism rotates the can simultaneously along two axes set perpendicular to each other. That motion transfers product through the whole can for a uniform, homogeneous consistency — ideal for difficult, high-viscosity products from latexes and heavy silicates to plastisol. Because the can stays closed, there’s no splatter, no skinning, and no air whipped into the ink.
Set it and walk away
Choose a pre-set profile for low- or high-viscosity product and adjust the timing to suit the job. The display shows a countdown timer, the current cycle parameters, machine status, and any warnings — so it runs reliably while you keep printing.
Easy, ergonomic loading
A fully extractable plate slides out and can be operated by foot with the control lever, so heavy buckets are easy to load. Choose a standard sliding shutter, a hinge door, or an automatic vertical sliding door.
The right fit
Who it’s for
Screen printers
Mix and match water-based colors right in the can with zero blade cleaning, and get plastisol press-ready fast. For mixing plastisol color, keep your Tornado blade mixer.
Paint stores & counters
A robust, worry-free mixer for paint stores, DIY retailers and distribution centers — handles round, square and oval cans, and even multiple cans at once.
Water-based color, yes — plastisol color, no. The CLEVERmix mixes water-based ink color perfectly and reconditions plastisol to press-ready, but it won’t fold pigment into plastisol. For mixing or matching plastisol color, use a blade mixer like the Tornado Ink Mixer. Keep lids secured before starting a cycle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it mix and match colors?
For water-based inks, yes — it folds pigment into water-based ink perfectly, so you can mix and match water-based colors right in the sealed can. For plastisol, no: plastisol is too heavy for gyroscopic mixing to blend pigment, so use a blade mixer like the Tornado for plastisol color.
What does it do for plastisol, then?
It reconditions existing plastisol that has settled or stiffened into a smooth, press-ready body inside the sealed can — no cleanup, no air whipped in. It gets plastisol ready to print, but it does not mix or match plastisol color; for that, use the Tornado blade mixer.
Do I have to clean a blade?
No. Nothing enters the ink — the sealed can is mixed from the outside, so there is no shaft or blade to clean, and no downtime scrubbing between jobs.
Does it work for water-based and discharge inks?
Yes — it mixes pigment into water-based and discharge inks perfectly for even, repeatable color, and re-homogenizes inks that have separated on the shelf.
How is this different from the Tornado mixer?
The Tornado’s blade folds ink to mix and match any color, including plastisol. The CLEVERmix mixes water-based color and reconditions plastisol — sealed and cleanup-free. Many shops run both.
What size cans does it take?
Cans up to 40 kg (88 lb), from 100 mm to 470 mm tall and up to 390 mm in diameter — round, square or oval, and you can load multiple cans at once.
Is it only for screen printing?
No — it’s equally at home on a paint counter. It’s a proven COROB mixer used in paint stores and distribution centers, and it’s ideal for screen shops conditioning ink.
