Description

Franmar Strip-e-doo® Emulsion Remover

Strip-e-doo eliminated harsh caustic emulsion removers from Franmar shops. It removes all brands of direct emulsion, capillary films, and stencils without weakening mesh — and the built-in degreaser saves a step by degreasing during the emulsion removal process. The built-in color indicator is a standout feature: the solution changes color (from clear to light brown/rust) when it’s reached its shelf life or is no longer active. One gallon reclaims up to 120 screens.

Removes All Emulsion Brands

Works on all direct emulsions, capillary films, and stencil systems — not limited to specific brands or emulsion types.

Built-In Degreaser

Combines emulsion removal and mesh degreasing in one product, eliminating a separate degreasing step in your reclaim workflow.

Color-Change Indicator

Strip-e-doo changes from clear to light brown/rust color when it has passed its 6–9 month shelf life or is depleted. This visual signal prevents using spent product that won’t perform.

1 Gallon = 120 Screens

Highly economical. At 120 screens per gallon, Strip-e-doo delivers a low per-screen cost for production reclaim environments.

Non-Toxic Formula

Non-caustic, non-toxic, and 100% biodegradable. The eco-responsible emulsion remover choice.

Mesh Safe

Does not weaken or damage screen mesh when used as directed.

How to Use Franmar Strip-e-doo

Step 1 — Wet the Screen

Wet the screen with water before applying Strip-e-doo. This activates the formula and improves penetration.

Step 2 — Apply to Front

Pour or spray Strip-e-doo onto the front (print) side of the screen.

Step 3 — Scrub Briefly

Scrub briefly with a Biggee™ scrub pad, then repeat on the back side.

Step 4 — Dwell 30+ Seconds

Allow Strip-e-doo to work for at least 30 seconds. Scrub both sides again.

Step 5 — Rinse

Rinse both sides thoroughly with high-pressure water. Do not allow to dry on screen.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does Strip-e-doo work with all emulsions?

Yes. It is formulated to remove all brands of direct emulsion, direct/indirect stencils, and capillary films. However, avoid using harsh solvents like mineral spirits in your reclaim process as they can lock in emulsion and make removal more difficult.

What does the color change mean?

Strip-e-doo changes from clear to a light or rusty brown color when it’s no longer active — either past its 6–9 month shelf life or depleted in use. Replace it when this change occurs.

Why isn’t it removing all the emulsion?

Common causes: 1) The emulsion is over- or under-cured — test your exposure. 2) Product may be past its shelf life (check color). 3) The thick edges from scoop coater application may need more product or scrubbing. 4) Solvent-based cleaners used previously may have locked in emulsion.

Does it have a degreaser built in?

Yes. Strip-e-doo includes built-in degreasing agents that prepare the mesh for recoating, eliminating a separate degreasing step.

How much does one gallon reclaim?

Up to 120 standard screens per gallon.
