Built to Last a Lifetime — Feature Overview

Zero-Backlash Micro-Registration

Spring-loaded, anti-backlash, direct-drive knobs move the head in a straight line — 1/4 turn = .015″, 1/2 turn = .031″, full turn = .062″. Zero slop means you know exactly where the head will land every time.

12″ Steel Rear Screen Clamps

Heavy-duty 1/4″ thick steel clamps joined by a steel clamp bar — 12″ (30 cm) wide for off-center clamping and rock-solid screen holding. Massive hand knobs secure screens instantly with no tools.

6-Way Screen Leveling

Three knobs on top of every head control fore-and-aft tilt, left-right tilt, and screen height. The print head locks into the same ‘gate’ position every time — off-contact adjustment without changing screen angle.

All Heads Down Printing

Fixed-head design means every print arm can be down at once. Multiple operators can print simultaneously, and you can load/flash/print in parallel.

Gas Spring Lifters (16-Position)

Variable lift strength adjusts to your screen weight — 16 positions, wrench-free. Add double gas springs to handle 30 lb screens, or upgrade to HD heads for 50 lb screens.

Expandable 1 to 10 Colors

Start with a 1-station tabletop and scale to a 10-color/10-station rotary floor press. Upgrade packages are factory-engineered — never buy another press.

Accepts DiGiT Numbering Jigs

Any rear clamp print head accepts Vastex’s clamp-on DiGiT athletic numbering system in 20 seconds. Two-color number printing on jerseys without tools.

Never-Warp Steel Pallets

High-strength steel pallets with heat- and solvent-resistant rubber tops. Elevated pallet design means no stretching garments over the arm. 25-year non-warping warranty.

▶ Vastex V-2000HD Overview — See It In Action

Why Set-Up Time — Not Printing Speed — Decides Your Profit

The Math Nobody Talks About

On a multi-color job, the press is producing prints maybe 40% of the time. The other 60% is make-ready, registration, color changes, and cleanup. Cut 15 minutes off every color dial-in and you’ve just added an hour per shift.

Zero-Backlash = No Guessing

Competing presses use turnbuckles that wear over time. The head pivots left-to-right in an arc instead of moving in a straight line. You estimate, print, adjust, reprint — and waste garments.

Precision You Can Predict

On the V-2000HD, 1/4 knob turn = .015″ every single time. Brand new or 10 years old. No estimation, no test prints for registration — dial in once, print the run.

Multiply by Colors

Saving 5 minutes per color on a 6-color job is 30 minutes of printing time recovered. Across a week, that’s a full day of additional production capacity. Across a year, it pays for the press.

Why the V-2000HD Is the Industry Standard

Registration That Holds

Embedded registration bearings sit close to the screen but stay clear of spray tack. Zero-backlash bearings on every screen arm pivot eliminate the drift you get from worn turnbuckle systems. The first print and the last print of a 500-piece run register identically.

Built for 15+ Years of Production

Industrial-strength steel tube legs, ball bearings on every moving part, 2.75″ ground center shaft. Vastex presses routinely run for decades in commercial shops. The 25-year non-warping pallet warranty reflects actual field durability.

Expand Without Buying a New Press

Upgrade your V2HD-44 to a V2HD-66 by adding two stations and two heads. Upgrade to a V2HD-88 by adding two more. The core chassis, rotor, and shaft are the same — Vastex engineers every configuration around a common upgradable platform.

Accessory Ecosystem

Dozens of specialty pallets: sleeve, double-sleeve, koozie, umbrella, tagless, hat printing, bag, polo, pocket, vacuum, quick-stretch, all-over, and face mask. Plus DiGiT numbering jigs, VRS pin registration, and removable side clamps.

Made in USA

Built in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania by Vastex International — a family-owned manufacturer that has been making manual and automatic screen printing equipment for over 60 years. Parts inventory stocked domestically.

Production Capacity Expectations by Model

Output varies enormously based on operator skill, ink type, flash time, print complexity, and shop workflow. The numbers below are realistic ranges for a trained operator printing standard plastisol on cotton tees with appropriate flash dwell time. Water-based and discharge inks will be slightly slower; simple 1-color prints with experienced operators can exceed these rates.

Model1-Color Rate4-Color w/ Flash6-Color w/ FlashTypical Operators
V2HD-11-T (1/1 Tabletop)40 to 60 /hrNot applicableNot applicable1 operator
V2HD-14-T (4/1 Tabletop)50 to 80 /hr30 to 45 /hrNot applicable1 operator
V2HD-FP-11 (1/1 Floor)50 to 80 /hrNot applicableNot applicable1 operator
V2HD-FP-14 (4/1 Floor)50 to 80 /hr30 to 45 /hrNot applicable1 operator
V2HD-44 (4/4 Rotary)60 to 100 /hr40 to 60 /hrNot applicable1 operator
V2HD-46 (6/4 Rotary)60 to 100 /hr40 to 60 /hr25 to 40 /hr1 to 2 operators
V2HD-66 (6/6 Rotary)80 to 120 /hr50 to 75 /hr35 to 55 /hr1 to 2 operators
V2HD-88 (8/8 Rotary)80 to 120 /hr60 to 90 /hr45 to 70 /hr2 operators optimal
V2HD-1010 (10/10 Rotary)80 to 120 /hr60 to 90 /hr50 to 80 /hr2 to 3 operators

Rates assume trained operators, properly tensioned screens, appropriate flash dryer capacity, and pre-registered screens (ideally via VRS pin registration). Team apparel work with DiGiT numbering typically runs at 30-50 shirts/hour regardless of press size. Simulated process and 8+ color jobs benefit most from multiple operators and larger-capacity dryers. Contact us if you want help matching press capacity to your target production volume.

📈 Rule of thumb for sizing

Most shops underbuy. If you are consistently doing 4-color work, skip the 4-station and go to a 6-station (one head for flash, one head for spare/highlight). If you are doing team apparel with numbers, budget for both the press AND a DiGiT numbering system or side-clamp setup from day one — retrofitting later is always more expensive than buying right the first time.

Rear Clamp vs. Fixed Side Clamp — Which Should You Buy?

The V-2000HD is available in two clamp configurations. They share the same chassis, precision, and expandability — the difference is how the screen is held during printing, which has real implications for what kinds of work each press is best at.

FeatureRear Clamp V-2000HDFixed Side Clamp V-2000HD
Clamping MethodScreen held from the back edge by 12″ steel clamp barScreen held from the side edge by 8″, 12″, or 30″ clamp
Best ForGeneral multi-color garment work, simulated process, logo prints, pockets, all-over designsTeam apparel, player names, numbering, vertical graphics, long designs
DiGiT Numbering JigYes — clamps into rear head in 20 secondsNot directly — requires dedicated rear-clamp heads or hybrid setup
VRS Pin RegistrationStandard rear-clamp VRS kitDedicated side-clamp VRS kit (works with any side clamp press)
Screen Width FlexibilityUp to 24″ wide with optional removable side clamps22″ or 26″ max (fixed at order time)
Setup FlexibilityMost flexible — can add removable side clamps for hybrid useDedicated side clamping — no tool changes between jobs
Typical BuyerGeneral screen printing shops, first-time commercial press buyersAthletic/team apparel specialists, custom jersey shops
Can Be Upgraded Later?Yes — add removable clamp-on side clamps any timeYes — side clamp heads can be replaced with rear-clamp heads at head-level
Price$1,304 to $14,575 depending on configuration$1,430 to $15,837 depending on configuration

Both presses share the same V-2000HD chassis, steel pallets, gas spring lifters, micro-registration system, all-heads-down printing, and 25-year pallet warranty. The only real difference is how the screen is held. Most shops choose rear clamp for maximum flexibility and add side clamps as needed. Shops that exclusively do team apparel often go fixed side clamp.

⚠ Heavy Screens Need the Right Heads

Standard print heads handle screens up to 8 lb. Oversized screens (13″ x 18″ and larger) or wood-framed screens often weigh more — spec double gas springs (30 lb) or HD head upgrades (50 lb) when quoting your press.

⚠ Doorway Access on Larger Models

The V2HD-46 requires a dock door or 36″+ opening — it does not fit through a standard 33″ doorway even with disassembly. Measure your delivery path before ordering 4-station-plus configurations.

⚠ Pallet Size by Model

1-color and all-over models accept pallets up to 27″ x 32″. Multi-station rotary models accept pallets up to 48″ x 40″. Custom sizes available — call for pricing on anything beyond these maximums.

⚠ Screens Larger Than Rear Clamp

The V-2000HD rear clamps accept screens with up to 24″ inside width on most models (21″ on V2HD-88 and V2HD-1010). For wider screens — or for printing player names, vertical designs, or graphic-forward layouts — add removable side clamps.

Shipping, Delivery & Installation

V-2000HD presses ship from Vastex’s manufacturing facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Most configurations require LTL freight (commercial trucking) delivery — the exception is the V2HD-11-T 1-color tabletop, which ships via UPS in two boxes.

LTL Freight (Most Models)

Palletized delivery via commercial freight carrier. Truck delivery to a loading dock is standard. If you don’t have a dock, liftgate delivery can be arranged for an additional fee. Inside delivery and white-glove placement are available as premium options — ask us for a quote.

UPS Ground (V2HD-11-T Only)

The 1-color/1-station tabletop press ships UPS in two boxes — no freight or liftgate required. Residential delivery works fine.

Dock Door Requirements

Most V-2000HD models fit through a standard 33″ doorway with disassembly. The V2HD-46 is the exception — it requires a dock door or 36″+ opening even disassembled. Measure your delivery path before ordering.

Assembly Required

V-2000HD presses ship crated and require assembly on site. The operation manual includes step-by-step assembly instructions. Most shops complete assembly in 2-4 hours with a helper, depending on the model.

Optional Installation Support

We offer installation and setup consulting for shops that want hands-on help. Includes assembly guidance, leveling, micro-registration tuning, and first-job setup. Ask for details when you request a quote.

⚠ Delivery Times Vary

Actual delivery timing depends on your configuration, current Vastex build queue, freight carrier scheduling, and your delivery location. Build times for custom-configured presses can run anywhere from a few business days for in-stock models to several weeks for larger configurations. For an accurate delivery estimate on your exact configuration, please chat, email, or call us — we’ll check current Vastex lead times and freight availability before you place your order.

Start with a V2HD-44 and upgrade to a V2HD-66, then a V2HD-88, as production grows.
What screen sizes does the rear-clamp V-2000HD accept?
Standard 12″ (30 cm) wide rear screen clamps accept screens with inside widths up to 25″ on V2HD-46, 27″ on V2HD-66, and unlimited with double gas springs on V2HD-88/1010 (limited by screen weight). Maximum screen weight is 8 lb standard, 30 lb with double gas springs, or 50 lb with the HD head upgrade. Wider screens fit on multi-station presses when neighboring heads are empty.
Does the V-2000HD really print all heads down simultaneously?
Yes. The V-2000HD uses a fixed-head design — every print arm can be in the down position at the same time. This enables multiple operators to print simultaneously, and you can load/flash/print in parallel rather than sequentially. It is one of the biggest productivity advantages of the V-2000HD over floating-head competitors.
How accurate is the micro-registration system?
The V-2000HD uses spring-loaded, anti-backlash, direct-drive micro-registration. A quarter turn of the knob moves the head exactly .015″ (1/64″), a half turn exactly .031″ (1/32″), and a full turn exactly .062″ (1/16″). The head moves in a straight line — not the arcing pivot motion you get from turnbuckle-based competitive presses. There is zero slop or play, brand new or 10 years old.
Can the rear-clamp press also use side clamps?
Yes. Vastex’s removable side clamps install in 20 seconds by clamping into the existing rear clamp print heads — and they come out just as fast when you need maximum screen width. Side clamps are available in 8″, 12″, and 30″ depths. The Clamp-On Side Clamp Attachment is the most popular upgrade. If you know you want side clamps for every job, consider the Vastex V-2000HD with Fixed Side Clamps instead.
What’s the difference between the V-2000HD rear clamp and the V-2000HD side clamp press?
The rear clamp is the standard configuration — the screen is held from the back edge by a 12″ wide steel clamp. Rear clamps accept DiGiT numbering jigs, handle the widest range of screen sizes, and are the most versatile for general multi-color garment work. Side clamps hold the screen from the sides instead and are ideal for printing player names, vertical designs, or when you need maximum clearance at the back for specialty work. You can add removable side clamps to any rear-clamp press — or buy the fixed side-clamp model if side clamping is your primary workflow.
What’s the warranty on the V-2000HD?
Vastex covers manufacturer’s defects for 2 years from purchase on the machine, and the steel pallets carry a 25-year non-warping warranty. Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing defects only — not to normal wear or abuse. All warranty service is handled directly by Vastex in Bethlehem, PA.
Does the press fit through a standard doorway?
Most models fit through a standard 33″ doorway with disassembly. The V2HD-46 is the exception — it requires a dock door or wider opening. The V2HD-11-T (1/1 tabletop) can actually ship UPS in two boxes. Always measure your delivery path before ordering, especially for 4-station-plus rotary configurations.
Can I finance a V-2000HD?
Yes. Equipment financing is available through our partner for all V-2000HD configurations. Monthly payments, competitive rates, and Section 179 tax advantages may apply. See financing options →
Is the press made in the USA?
Yes. The V-2000HD is designed and manufactured by Vastex International at their Bethlehem, Pennsylvania factory. Vastex has been building screen printing equipment in the USA for over 60 years. Parts inventory is stocked domestically.
