Description

Sun-Kissed Coral for Coastal, Hospitality & Summer Brands

Coral #113 is the color of beach sunsets, Gulf Coast storefronts, and hospitality brands that want their identity to feel like a vacation. Warmer and more orange than Fiesta Pink, more pink and vibrant than a true orange — Coral lives in the distinctive warm space between them, carrying the lifestyle energy of coastal living, summer dining, and resort-quality brand identity.

Warm, Sun-Kissed Coastal Coral

Color #113 is a vivid, warm coral — equal parts orange warmth and pink vibrancy — that reads as coastal, summer, and hospitality-forward. The color of Gulf Coast shrimp shack signage, Florida beach brand identity, and resort pool signage.

Sun-Bright Ultra-High Gloss Finish

The 4200 Series topcoat amplifies Coral’s natural warmth into a vivid, light-catching finish that makes beach brand window graphics feel like a July afternoon and seafood restaurant signage feel as fresh as the catch.

Permanent Bond for Coastal Environments

The clear permanent acrylic adhesive cures to 2.5 lbs/in after 24 hours, resisting the salt air, humidity, and UV that coastal outdoor signage environments present daily.

5-Year Outdoor Performance

Rated up to 5 years outdoors — the durability that permanent coastal brand storefronts, waterfront restaurant identification, and resort facility signage need to stay vivid through years of sun and salt air.

Pro Application Tips

  • IPA prep is especially critical on coastal surfaces with salt air, grease, and kitchen exhaust contamination
  • Coral pairs beautifully with navy, turquoise, white, and cream for a complete coastal brand palette
  • Clear film tape for precision restaurant window positioning; paper tape for most coastal exterior installs
  • Test in coastal outdoor lighting — Coral reads slightly more orange in direct sun and more pink-warm indoors
  • Allow full 24-hr cure before coastal wind, salt spray, and humidity exposure on waterfront installs

⚠ Salt Air & Coastal Environments Demand Thorough PrepSalt air deposition on coastal surfaces creates an invisible adhesion barrier. For waterfront and marina signage, wipe with 70% IPA and allow to dry fully. A second IPA wipe pass is worthwhile on surfaces with heavy salt air exposure.
⚠ Warm Tone Reads More Orange in Direct SunCoral reads more vivid pink-warm indoors and shifts slightly more orange in direct sunlight. For coastal brand-critical work where the color must read consistently inside and outside, test a sample in both lighting conditions before production.
⚠ Min. Application Temp: 40°FVinyl, surface, and environment must all be at or above 40°F. Coastal mornings can be cool even in warm climates — apply after temperatures have risen above threshold, especially on metal and aluminum storefronts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions — FDC 4200 Coral Sign Vinyl

How does Coral #113 differ from Fiesta Pink #124 and Poppy Red #172?

Coral #113 is more orange than Fiesta Pink and warmer than Poppy Red — it lives in the distinctive orange-pink space between them with a coastal, sun-kissed quality. Fiesta Pink is more purely pink and celebratory. Poppy Red is more urgency-red and vivid. Coral is the lifestyle, hospitality, and coastal color of the three.

Is Coral good for waterfront restaurant and seafood brand signage?

Coral is one of the most popular colors in the coastal dining aesthetic — seafood restaurants, oyster bars, shrimp shacks, and waterfront casual dining brands have used warm coral as a brand identity color for decades.

Does Coral hold up in coastal humidity and salt air environments?

FDC 4200 is rated up to 5 years outdoors and resists water and humidity well. For direct coastal waterfront signage with heavy salt air exposure, thorough IPA surface prep is critical — salt deposition creates an adhesion barrier on unprepared surfaces.

What colors pair with Coral for coastal brand graphic design?

Coral pairs classically with navy and white for a preppy coastal brand palette. Turquoise or Teal #071 creates a vibrant Florida-Gulf palette. Cream and natural linen tones pair for a sophisticated waterfront dining identity.

Can Coral be used for women’s fitness and active lifestyle brand signage?

Yes — Coral is widely used in women’s fitness, pilates, barre, and wellness brand identity because its warm vibrancy communicates strength and energy without the aggression of red.

Is FDC 4200 Coral suitable for Florida and beach town storefront graphics?

Coral is practically native to the Florida and beach town aesthetic. FDC 4200’s 5-year outdoor rating handles the intense UV and humidity of Florida’s outdoor conditions. A UV overlaminate for permanent south-facing installs gives the best longevity.

What application tape should I use with Coral for restaurant window graphics?

Clear 24″ film tape is particularly valuable for restaurant window graphic installations where precise positioning against menu displays, door hardware, and architectural elements is part of the design. PC-24 paper tape handles most other Coral applications reliably.
