What the A.W.T. Mesh Count Determiner Does
Mesh count determiner for roll or frame
Use the mesh count determiner to verify mesh count on a roll before you stretch it, or on a screen already stretched on a frame.
Monofilament and multifilament meshes
The chart is made for use with both monofilament and multifilament meshes.
US and metric scales
US and metric scales are printed on the chart, so it can be used with any fabric.
Also reads halftone numbers
The chart can also be used to determine halftones, with US halftone numbers from 55 to 200 and metric halftone numbers from 21 to 78.
Polyester photo film construction
The chart is produced on 7 mil polyester photo film for clarity and durability.
Scales on the Chart
First monofilament scale
One scale covers US mesh counts from 100 to 240 and metric counts from 40 to 95.
Second monofilament scale
The other scale covers US mesh counts from 200 to 480 and metric counts from 78 to 190.
Multifilament and halftone ranges
The multifilament chart determines mesh counts from 6XX to 25XX. It also gives US halftone numbers from 55 to 200 and metric halftone numbers from 21 to 78.
Packaging

Using the Chart
How the pattern is read
A distributor's directions say to place the test pattern film face down on the screen and pivot it on the mesh surface. A wide bar pattern forms and centers on the actual mesh count. You read the number listed beside that bar.
Why there are two monofilament scales
The chart uses one scale for lower monofilament counts (US 100–240) and a second for higher counts (US 200–480). The two scales overlap between 200 and 240.
