About TW 5500 standard colors

The TW 5500 standard colors (codes 12 to 20) are ready-to-print shades, from Lemon Yellow to Ultra Blue, with a flat finish. They print on card stock, plastics, Tyvek and wood, and air dry in 20 to 30 minutes.

✓Print through 200 to 380 monofilament polyester mesh with a sharp 70 to 85 durometer squeegee.
✓If the ink needs thinning, add Z1820 thinner or water at no more than 5 to 10% by weight; too much slows drying and can cause blocking.
✓For treated Coroplast or fluted polyolefin, add XPX1018 activator at 5 to 10% by weight and use the mixed ink within about 24 hours.
✓Plan outdoor jobs around the ratings: up to 3 years on most substrates, but Reflex Blue and Ultra Blue are rated up to 2 years.
✓Force dry in seconds at 90 to 150°F (32 to 66°C), and let sheets cool before stacking.

  4. 4If needed, reduce with Z1820 thinner or water, no more than 5 to 10% by weight; use Z1822 or Z1823 retarder for fine detail, slow print cycles or hot shops.
  5. 5For Coroplast or extra chemical resistance, add 5 to 10% XPX1018 Activator by weight and use within about 24 hours.
