For everyday cotton and poly t-shirt runs, the standard formula works better because you’re applying a thinner, more economical layer. If you print a mix of garments, many shops keep both on hand.

How many garments does a single application hold?

A single application of water-based pallet adhesive holds hundreds of garments before recoating is needed. The exact count depends on garment fiber content, print type, and how aggressively garments are positioned. T-shirts on cotton or poly blends typically hold the longest. When tack starts to fade, mist with water to reactivate rather than immediately recoating.

How does one gallon compare to aerosol cans in cost?

One gallon of Printers Choice Liquid Pallet Adhesive is equivalent to approximately four to five cases of aerosol spray cans. Do I really need to flash dry the adhesive before loading garments?

If you load garments onto wet adhesive, it soaks into the fabric, creates a weak hold, and can transfer moisture into the garment. After spreading, flash dry until the adhesive is completely clear and tacky to the touch. Then load.

How do I reactivate tack mid-run without reapplying?

Mist the pallet lightly and evenly with water from a spray bottle. The moisture reactivates the pressure-sensitive chemistry, restoring grip without removing the adhesive layer. Allow the surface to become tacky again before loading the next garment. If lint has built up on the surface, wipe with a damp sponge first to remove the fiber layer, then mist and allow to dry.

Will it leave adhesive residue on my garments?

No. The formula is non-transferable — it holds garments in place without depositing adhesive on the fabric. Garments lift cleanly off the pallet with no sticky residue. This is standard behavior for quality water-based pallet adhesives.

Can it be used on a belt printer?

Yes. Dilute the adhesive up to 1:1 with water and apply with a hand sprayer, electric spray gun, or air-operated spray system to the belt surface. Use the S-pattern application method for even coverage across the belt.

Should I use pallet tape under the adhesive?

Yes — applying over pallet tape or pallet mask is the recommended setup. It creates a clean, smooth application surface and makes cleanup simple: when the adhesive is spent, peel and replace the tape rather than scrubbing the pallet. Fresh tape + fresh adhesive in under a minute.
